DOLLA$
The Creator Playbook

Build a paycheck. Build a movement.

DOLLA's posture is simple — 0% creator fees, $1/month follows, the majority of what we earn goes to charitable causes. The creator's posture takes a little more work. This is how that part actually grows.

Most platforms run on extraction. They take a percent, push you to spend on ads, and reward whatever creates engagement — even when engagement is just outrage in slow motion.

DOLLA runs on a different bet: followers want to fund people whose lives they're following along with. Not personalities; people. Not feeds; lives. Not consumption; participation.

The mechanics below are how the platform rewards creators who show up that way. The disciplines are how those rewards actually compound.

01

The Five Disciplines

Pick your category, your craft, your voice — those are yours. These five are the physics of the building. Creators who internalize them grow on DOLLA. Creators who don't, don't.

I

Show up

Consistency, not cleverness

Daily beats weekly. Weekly beats sporadic. Quality matters less than presence — your audience is signing up to follow your life, not to consume your highlight reel. The Influence Track rewards follower count; the Discover algorithm rewards posting cadence. Both compound the longer you do it.

Rewards: Influence Track + Discover boost
II

Show your work

Process is more loyal than polish

Behind-the-scenes content outperforms produced content for one reason: it's the only version of you nobody else can copy. The half-built draft, the failed experiment, the dish that burned, the verse you couldn't finish — that's the trust-builder. Followers who saw the process feel ownership of the outcome.

Rewards: Impact Track (engagement quality)
III

Show up FOR people

One-to-one inside the one-to-many

Reply to every follower in their first month. Use names. Remember a detail. The platform builds the recurring billing infrastructure; you build the reason they don't cancel. A $1/month follower who feels seen renews for years. A $1/month follower who feels unseen cancels in 30 days.

Rewards: Retention + Sovereign-tier conversion
IV

Show what you're for

Stand for something specific

Generic creators get generic followings. Specific creators — about a cause, a craft, a worldview, a way of living — get followers who'd defend them in public. The 51%-to-charity model gives you something nobody else in the creator economy can offer: 'when you support me, you also fund what I care about.' Use that. Name the causes. Show the receipts.

Rewards: Philanthropy Track + Sovereign donations
V

Show the path

Bring people INTO DOLLA, not just to your page

When a follower discovers DOLLA through you and makes their first $1 follow — to anyone — you Mint them. Your profile shows the count, permanently. This is creator-economy referral infrastructure that nobody else has built. Tell people about DOLLA. Show them the model. Help them find their first creator. Every Mint is a permanent badge that compounds for years.

Rewards: Mint Track + lifetime attribution

The Mechanics That Reward This

Five achievement tracks run in parallel. Each rewards a discipline above with public visibility — Calling Cards, badges, and tier flair appear on your profile as you progress. Followers can see what you've built; new visitors can see what they're about to participate in.

Discover algorithm posture

The discovery feed favors creators who post consistently this week, who have rising engagement velocity, and whose followers stay subscribed. It does not favor outrage, gaming, or repost spam. The algorithm and the disciplines were designed in the same room, on purpose.

The Founding Creator badge

Creators in the first cohort of ~25 hand-recruited launch partners get a permanent Founding Creator mark on their profile. It's not a status play — it's recognition that you took a bet on something before there were proof points. That mark stays even if you go dormant for a year.

03

The Way We Operate

Four lines. Read them every Monday. Tape them above the desk if you're the type. They are the shorthand for what gets rewarded here culturally — separate from anything an algorithm can measure.

Stewardship over hustle.

Service over self-promotion.

Mission over metrics.

Vulnerability over performance.

None of those rule out ambition. They reframe what ambition looks like. Hustle and stewardship aren't opposites — but stewardship asks a longer question. Performance and vulnerability aren't opposites — but vulnerability is what makes performance trustworthy.

04

The Quarterly Rhythm

A practical playbook for the first 90 days. Adjust to your life — these are floor expectations, not ceilings.

Week 1

Foundation
  • Profile complete: avatar, bio, calling cards from your own life
  • First 3 posts up — pick a daily slot you'll actually keep
  • Reach out personally to 5 people from your existing network. Tell them what DOLLA is + why you're on it
  • Pick the recurring weekly ritual you'll commit to (Q&A? Behind-the-scenes Friday? Sunday review?)

Month 1

Cadence
  • Daily posts across the month. No 'I missed yesterday' apologies — just keep going
  • Reply to every single follower in the first 30 days. Personally. Use their name
  • Ship the recurring ritual every week
  • First 10 followers = your council. Ask them what they want more of

Quarter 1

Compound
  • Hit Influence: Known (1,000 followers) — that's the Substack threshold for 'real audience'
  • First Sovereign-tier follower → unlock Calling Card 'First Sovereign'
  • Bring 3+ new users to DOLLA → Mint Track: Minter (10) within reach by month 6
  • Launch one cross-platform funnel: TikTok / IG / YouTube → DOLLA. DOLLA isn't where they discover you; it's where they commit to you
05

Sprints, Competitions, Seasons

Compounding wants discipline; humans want games. DOLLA runs recurring competitions designed to reward the disciplines without making the platform feel like a casino.

Minting Season

Monthly

Leaderboard of creators by new users brought to DOLLA. Top 10 each month earn the seasonal Calling Card and feature placement on the Discover feed for the following month. Cumulative across the year — not a sugar rush.

Streak Rewards

30 / 60 / 90 / 365 day post streaks

Profile flair levels up at each milestone. The 365-day streak unlocks an exclusive permanent Calling Card and a meeting with the DOLLA team — we want to learn from you.

Charitable Match

Quarterly

Opt into Philanthropy Mode at 51%+ for a full quarter and hit your tier's giving threshold — DOLLA matches a portion to a cause of your choice from the partnered nonprofit directory. Real impact, real receipts, real audit trail.

Founding Creator Cohort

One-time, first ~25

The first 25 hand-recruited creators across diversity verticals share a permanent profile mark + private community channel + founders' Q&A access. Not announced publicly — invitation only.

06

What Doesn't Work Here

Saying it plainly so you don't waste energy:

  • Engagement-bait. The algorithm explicitly de-weights it. Followers can smell it.
  • Reposting other people's content as your own. The Discover feed flags duplicates.
  • Asking followers to upgrade tiers as a transaction. They'll upgrade because they trust you, not because you guilted them.
  • Hiding the mission. Your followers want to know what you stand for. Generic neutrality reads as having nothing to say.
  • Treating $1 as nothing. It's a contract. Every $1 is someone betting on you, monthly, with intention. Treat it that way.

Ready to be a Founding Creator?

The first ~25 creators across the diversity spectrum get a permanent mark on their profile and a seat in the founders' channel. After that, you're still welcome — but the badge ships with the cohort.

This page evolves. As real creators ship real things on DOLLA, their stories replace the abstractions here. Receipts beat playbooks every time.
